Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for information after an 8-month-old baby boy was left in the cathedral in the town.
The baby was discovered on the porch of the cathedral at 2.20pm this afternoon by a member of the public.
The baby, said to be in good health, is now in the care of the HSE.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Carlow Garda station.
