Ballsbridge school wins competition

St Conleth's College in Ballsbridge, Dublin, has won the sixth annual "Reach Out - Be a Good Neighbour" schools competition.

St Conleth's College in Ballsbridge, Dublin, has won the sixth annual "Reach Out - Be a Good Neighbour" schools competition.

The competition, sponsored by Irish Permanent and ICL, aims to increase second-level students' social awareness, particularly to the needs of the elderly and other vulnerable groups.

Ballinteer Community School and Coolmine Community School won second and third prizes.

The winning project entitled "The Liberties" from St Conleth's included a collection of clay models and photographs representing landmarks and local characters from the Liberties in Dublin.
