Bank of Ireland has announced four new appointments to its court (board) of drectors.
Three of the appointments are executive directors - Mr Richie Boucher, chief executive, retail financial services Ireland; Mr Des Crowley, chief executive, UK financial services; and Mr Denis Donovan, chief executive, capital markets.
Mr Boucher (48) is a member of the board of Bank of Ireland Life and a director of Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank. He is also a director of ICS Building Society.
Mr Des Crowley (47) joined Bank of Ireland in 1988 and was appointed chief executive, UK Financial Services, in November 2005. He is also chairman of the board of the UK Post Office joint venture and a director of Bristol & West.
Mr Denis Donovan (52) joined Bank of Ireland in 1985. He was appointed chief executive of the bank's new Capital Markets Division in September.
The bank also announced the appointment of Dennis Holt to its court of directors. Mr Holt (58) recently retired as group chief executive of Axa UK and served as chairman of Axa Ireland.
The appointments come two weeks after Denis O'Brien resigned from his position as deputy governor of the court of the Bank of Ireland, saying his international business interests meant he could no longer devote the time required of him.
