An order restraining the obstruction of access to a beach off which oysters are grown was granted by the High Court yesterday to the owner of an oyster cultivation business at Woodstown, Co Waterford.
Woodstown Bay Shellfish Ltd (WBSL) secured the interim order against Mr James O'Sullivan, said to be the owner of Woodstown Weir and nearby Knockaveelish Weir.
The order restrains Mr O'Sullivan from blocking or obstructing access to the site of the WBSL's aquaculture business. It also obliges the defendant to remove any stakes from the strand which are obstructing WBSL's business.
