A Catholic taxi driver escaped injury when a shot was fired at his car in Belfast this morning.
The attack is being treated as an attempted murder.
An RUC spokesman said the man had just arrived at a house at Parkmount Terrace, off the Shore Road, at around 6 a.m when two youths jumped out of bushes and fired a single shot at him.
The vehicle was hit but not the driver, who managed to drive off.
