Newcastle striker Craig Bellamy is facing further disciplinary problems after being reported over a four-letter outburst during his side's 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough.
The Football Association today confirmed match referee Andy D'Urso has mentioned the Welshman's furious protests in his report, and disciplinary chiefs will now decide whether or not there is a case to answer.
The FA's compliance unit will consider the report and could charge the player with using abusive or insulting words to match officials.
Bellamy and his team-mates were incensed with the performance of the match officials at the Riverside Stadium as their nine-game unbeaten run came to an inglorious end.
Bellamy, skipper Alan Shearer and first-team coach John Carver all confronted D'Urso in the centre circle after the final whistle, complaining over what they believed was a foul on Jermaine Jenas that went unpunished in the run-up to Geremi's decisive goal.
He has already missed six of his side's Champions League games through suspension this season after being convicted on video evidence of head-butting Dynamo Kiev defender Tiberiu Ghione and then being sent off for kicking out at Inter Milan's Marco Materazzi.
But with Champions League qualification firmly within their grasp, there is still have much to play for and Robson will keep his fingers crossed that, if Bellamy is punished, the FA will hit him in the pocket rather than confining him to the sidelines.
