Former footballer George Best has been banned today from driving for 20 months and fined £1,500 sterling after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
The 57-year-old former Northern Ireland and Manchester United star was told by magistrates that he had been "irresponsible" and that his behaviour had been "unacceptable".
Wimbledon Magistrates' Court in south-west London heard he had driven after drinking following a blazing row with his son Calum.
After the row in a restaurant, Best had been trying to drive himself to a health farm having realised that he needed to resolve his problems, the court was told.
