The North's First Minister, Mr David Trimble, has sent a message to the Co Down-born Formula One motor racing world championship leader, Eddie Irvine, wishing him "every success" for the last grand prix of the season in Japan tomorrow.

"Millions throughout the world will watch, but nowhere will the race be followed with the intensity and pride of here in Northern Ireland. Whatever the result, you have already secured a place in Northern Ireland's sporting history," Mr Trimble said in his message.
