Normal services resume on most routes to and from Heuston Station. These include services to Cork, Tralee, Limerick, Galway and Westport/Ballina, as well as all Kildare Arrow services.

However, Iarnrod Eireann has warned of some delays due to temporary speed restrictions. The Dublin-Waterford service will involve bus transfers between Kilkenny and Waterford due to flooding in Thomastown.

The Sligo, Rosslare and Arklow services remain cancelled due to flooding. The service from Dublin to Maynooth is restored.

DART services continue to operate between Howth and Bray. "It's a much improved situation," said an Iarnrod Eireann spokesman.

But he warned that these arrangements could change if conditions worsened. Passengers wishing to confirm schedules should call 1850 366 222.

Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus services are expected to run as normal today with delays only in cases of localised flooding.

Last night Irish Ferries said its fast service to Holyhead remained cancelled, but it expected its conventional ferry sailings to go ahead as normal today. Passengers wishing to travel should call (01) 6610715.

A Stena Line spokesman said it was unlikely that its fast service would operate today, but the conventional ferry was expected to sail from Dublin to Holyhead. He said the Rosslare-Fishguard service was expected to resume today. Intending passengers should call (01) 2047799.
