Berlin - There can be no enlargement of the EU which does not include Cyprus, the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Mr Guenter Verheugen, argued in a German newspaper interview published yesterday.
Mr Verheugen told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung that enlargement was not conceivable without the inclusion of Cyprus as a member. "There will either be an enlargement with Cyprus, or there will be no rapid enlargement at all," he said.
