New York - Prosecutors yesterday opened the trial of four men accused of conspiring with exiled Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden in the bombings of two US embassies in Africa in 1998.
Prosecutors allege that bin Laden masterminded the twin blasts that killed more than 200, including 12 Americans, and injured thousands. Bin Laden, who is in Afghanistan, is among 13 defendants who are fugitives.
