Blackburn have completed the signing of Slovakian defender Vratislav Gresko.
Having completed a medical successfully, Gresko has signed a deal which sees him join the Ewood Park club from Italian side Parma on loan until the end of the season.
A left-sided defender, who can also operate at centre-back or in midfield, Gresko previously played for Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen.
Rovers hope he will receive international clearance in order to be included in the squad to face Aston Villa on Sunday with boss Graeme Souness already without Andy Todd and Lucas Neill, who are suspended, along with Craig Short, sidelined with a calf injury.
Blackburn chief executive John Williams said: "Vratislav has been at Ewood Park today and we have completed the paperwork. He is now looking forward to meeting up and training with the rest of the squad. He is excited by the move and very keen to get involved."
