British Prime Minister Tony Blair has landed in India on the latest leg of a diplomatic tour to build a coalition against Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.
Mr Blair landed in New Delhi is expected to hold talks tomorrow with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Earlier in the day, Mr Blair was in Pakistan to bolster its support for any offensive against bin Laden and his terrorist network.
On Thursday, Mr Blair visited Russia as the first part of his second diplomatic shuttle session since the attacks on New York and Washington.
The visits form part of a concerted effort to bolster support around Afghanistan's borders for action against bin Laden and, if necessary, the Kabul regime.
The British Prime Minister's visit came as a US-Israeli rift opened in the coalition against terrorism.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has offended the US by accusing George Bush of appeasing Palestinians to bolster Arab support.
White House spokesman Mr Ari Fleischer said only that the remarks were "unacceptable" but officials were said to be furious.
The rift between Israel and the US came as Mr Blair praised Pakistan's decision to back action against the Taliban.
Their offer to try bin Laden in an Afghan court was rejected as the Prime Minister met Pakistan's President, General Pervez Musharraf. Speaking in the capital Islamabad Mr Blair said the decision to back the coalition meant a new era in diplomatic relations for his country.
