The British Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, is set for crucial meetings with Mr David Trimble and Mr Gerry Adams in Black pool next week on decommissioning and the creation of Northern Ireland's power sharing executive, writes Frank Millar, Lon don Editor. Downing Street confirmed that the meetings were "eminently likely" as a growing sense of difficulty in the peace process threatened to overshadow the Labour conference and the party's celebration of the Belfast Agreement.
Mr Blair will also hold separate talks with Mr Seamus Mallon, the Deputy First Minister, who is scheduled to address a full session of the conference, along with Mr Trimble, on Wednesday morning. Mr Adams, who is to address the Tribune rally on the conference fringe on Tuesday night, is also planning to spend two full days in Blackpool.
