Washington - A New York city prosecutor will request the death penalty for at least one of the three suspects in the 1998 bombings of two US embassies in Sudan and Kenya, the New York Times reported yesterday.
Mohamed Rashed Daoud al Owhali, arrested in Africa shortly after the blasts and extradited to the US, is the main suspect in the bombings. It was likely the two other suspects in the bombings would also face death sentences, defence lawyers said.
