The body of a seven-year-old boy was found this morning on Balbriggan beach, Co Dublin.
The child's body was discovered by a man walking his dog shortly before 11 a.m. after he was reported missing just one hour earlier.
The boy, from Dublin, is believed to have been staying with relatives, who raised the alarm.
An investigation is underway and a post mortem will be carried out later today in Temple Street Children's Hospital. The child's identity has not yet been released. Foul play is not suspected, a Garda spokesman said.
