The body of the 16-year-old girl found dead in the family home in Co Kilkenny at the weekend has been released back to the family.
Ciara Gibbs's mother, Dr Lynn Hutchinson, is still to ill to be interviewed by gardai. She was found in a collapsed state by her husband at their home near Goresbridge on Sunday at the time Ciara was discovered.
Gardaí believe Dr Hutchinson is a "crucial" witness who may be able to explain the events which led to her daughter's death. Foul play has not been ruled out.
Now Ciara's body has been released arrangements can be made for her funeral, which is expected to take place this weekend.
