A body has been recovered from the River Barrow in Co Laois this afternoon.
It has yet to be confirmed if it is the body of Shane Gavin (18) who has been missing since last Sunday.
Mr Galvin was last seen at 12.30am on November 14th in Portarlington golf club in the foyer. He had been attending an 18th birthday party.
He was wearing a blue and white one-inch-stripe T shirt with a thin red stripe and short sleeves. He also wore blue jeans and white runners. Mr Gavin, who is 6ft 1inch in height, has short brown hair tight cut, with a small bit spiked on top. He wears glasses.
More than 100 local people have been involved in a search for themissing teenager. He was supposed to take a bus from the golf course back into the centre of Portarlington, a distance of four kilometres.
