Bohemians earned a respectable draw in the away leg of the UEFA Cup, first preliminary round, against the leading side in Estonia last night.

Manager Stephen Kenny would have been pleased to get to the break scoreless after Tallinn striker Vladimir Voskoboinkov twice went clear on goal only for vital tackles from Thomas Heary and Ken Oman to deny him getting a shot in.

Bohemians could have gone in front seven minutes before the interval when Damien Lynch's acrobatic effort forced a good save from goalkeeper Artur Kotenko. Earlier Glen Crowe's header from a corner flew inches wide of the target.

In the second half, the Dubliners had the better chances to snatch a memorable victory with David Morrison shooting wide, after a Crowe (who picked up a caution) cut back.

The international striker then had a clear run on goal on 70 minutes, but Kotenko denied him his seventh European goal with another excellent stop.

Tallinn were by no means outclassed as a header from Marius Dovydenas went into the side-netting, with Séamus Kelly well beaten, just after the hour mark.

Bohemians finished the game the stronger and, although they failed to find the target, they will fancy their chances of continuing in the competition.
