Rosenborg 4 Bohemians 0 (agg 5-0)
Bohemians have crashed out of the qualifying stages of the Champions League after a four nil second leg defeat to Rosenborg in Norway this evening.
Enda Kenny's men conceded three second half goals to the homeside as they struggled to cope with the well structured experienced side that has seen of far higher profile opposition at this venue.
Azar Kardas, the scorer of their only goal in Dublin a week ago, was again on hand to open the scoring with a free header after 43 minutes that sent the homeside in at the break with a two goal aggregate advantage.
After what had been at times an encouraging first half for the visitors, conceding the soft goal at such a crucial time was devastating for Bohs.
The second half began as the first had ended, with Bohs backs against the wall, and it took only five minutes for Harald Martin Brattbakk to double the lead on the night.
Further goals came via Roar Strand in the 68th minute and Frode Johnson in the 75th, as Bohs went in search of vital away goals.
The deficit could well have been worse had Seamus Kelly not displayed lightning reactions on a number of occasions in the second half.
