New Delhi - At least 16 people were injured when three bombs exploded in New Delhi yesterday during an annual Hindu religious festival. Four of the victims were reported to be in serious condition.
Two of the blasts were in crowded state-run buses. The first occurred near Delhi University and the other near the mausoluem of Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister. The third, almost an hour later, ripped through a railway track close by. A Sikh militant group, Shaheed Khalsa Force, claimed responsibility for the explosions.
