Bordeaux - A French court yesterday banned the display, but not the sale, of a book of photos which has a front cover showing a topless woman as the crucified Jesus Christ.
The court, which has jurisdiction only over the southwestern region of Bordeaux, ruled the image of a partially naked young woman on a cross "was of a nature likely to deeply shock religious feelings". It said display of the cover was both provocative and derisive of the Crucifixion.
