Middlesbrough have declined to comment on reports linking them with Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke.
Boro, who were recently linked with a move for Andy Cole before he joined Blackburn, are said to be ready to battle it out with Fulham for the Tobago-born star's signature.
"It isn't the club's policy to comment on transfer speculation," a club spokesman said.
