Sarajevo - About 3,000 Bosnian nationals submitted compensation claims nearly 60 years on for slavery and forced labour under the Nazi regime, an International Organisation for Migration (IOM) official said yesterday.
The IOM received more than 3,000 claim forms from Bosnia's claimants, Mr Delbert Field, deputy director of the IOM's compensation programmes, said. There is "a good chance" that first compensation payments in Bosnia would take place in October, he said.
