Boxing: Irish boxer Joe Nevin secured his place at this year's Beijing Olympics after winning the bantamweight final at a qualifying tournament in Pescara in Italy.
The Cavan boxer beat Moldovia's Veaceslav Gojan 17-10 in yesterday's final and is the second Irish boxer to qualify for Beijing after Belfast's Paddy Barnes made the grade in Chicago last year.
There is still another chance for members of the Ireland squad at the final qualifying event in Athens next month.
