Terrorists could be in the final stages of planning an attack on Saudi Arabia, the British government warned last night.
It has issued fresh guidance to travellers about the possibility of an imminent attack. The Foreign Office had already advised British nationals against all non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia.
The Foreign Office had warned it believes terrorists are determined to carry out further attacks in Saudi Arabia.
The advice comes after British Airways cancelled flight BA 263 to Riyadh yesterday for security reasons.
Terrorists carried out attacks in Riyadh twice last year. On November 9th they attacked the Muhayya residential compound in Riyadh killing 18 and injuring more than 80.
That followed coordinated bomb attacks against residential compounds in Riyadh on May 12th, which killed more than 30 people, including two British nationals. Many more were injured.
