A unit of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm joined members of the Irish Air Corps at Kin sale, Co Cork, yesterday to remember the four Irishmen who were killed in a helicopter crash at Tramore, Co Waterford, on July 2nd. In a multi-denominational service at the Church of St Multose in Kinsale, the combined airmen prayed for those who had died. The Royal Navy personnel were in Cork as part of an exercise to demonstrate their rescue capabilities. A spokesman said they had been deeply moved by the deaths of the airmen.

At Tramore on Saturday, 600 people gathered at the site for a memorial ceremony. The attendance included close relatives of the dead men, representatives of the Defence Forces and of rescue services, and members of local authorities.
