British Midland will operate a very limited service today. Only four flights will operate: BD125 London to Dublin, departing at 10.55 a.m.; BD126 Dublin to London (departing 13.00); BD127 London to Dublin (departing 13.15) and BD128 Dublin to London (departing 15.20).
British Midland contacted passengers yesterday evening to organise other flights, said a spokesman. The service will return to normal tomorrow with the exception of the first flight, which has been cancelled.

Meanwhile, Aer Lingus has managed to accommodate most of the passengers due to fly today, a spokeswoman said. Up to 18,000 passengers have been inconvenienced as more than 160 flights from Dublin, 20 from Cork and 20 from Shannon were cancelled.
Passengers have been offered rerouting with another airline, if available, a booking for another day, or a refund. Aer Lingus has a helpline at 1 800 40 40 00. The line is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Information is also available on the Aer Lingus website - www.aerlingus.ie - or from travel agents.
Fifteen incoming Aer Lingus flights and six shared flights will operate today. Six Aer Lingus flights which were due to arrive in Dublin Airport tomorrow have been cancelled (EI601 Amsterdam/Dublin, EI201 Manchester/ Dublin; EI082 Shannon/Dublin; EI149 Heathrow/Dublin; EI519 Paris/Dublin; EI761 Birmingham/Dublin).
