Two British police officers facing charges of Internet child pornography have appeared in court in Surrey with blankets over their heads.
Detective Constable Brian Stevens, faces three charges, including inciting the distribution of indecent pseudo photographs of children.
He was a family liaison officer during the police investigation into the disappearance and murder of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman
He and Police Constable Antony Goodridge, who faces four charges, appeared in the dock at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court, Suffolk.
Prosecuting solicitor Peter Gair outlined the case against the two officers to the two magistrates, but reporting restrictions prevent them from being made public at this stage.
Stevens, 41, and Goodridge, 34, were arrested on Thursday after Cambridgeshire Police was alerted following an international child pornography investigation by the FBI in the United States.
