A MAN has been remanded in custody to May 6th after he pleaded guilty to having morphine tablets for supply.
Michael Cahill (32), of Eugene Street, Dublin, admitted possessing the drugs for sale or supply on the street on May 22nd, 1993.
Seeking a probation and a medical report at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, Mr Gregory Murphy SC, defending him, said he was anxious his client should not be denigrated because of his family name.
The defendant's brother, Mr Martin Cahill known as "The General" was shot "dead by the IRA shortly before its ceasefire in 1994.
