Beijing - Thirty people were killed and 19 injured when a bus crashed in China, writes Miriam Donohue.
The accident happened when the bus tumbled down a 30-metre cliff into a river in the northwestern province of Shaanxi. Two of the injured were said last night to be critical.
China has a dismal road-safety record. About 94,000 people were killed in traffic accidents in China last year, despite a relatively low number of cars on the roads compared with the country's huge population.
