US President George W Bush said today the international community wants to peacefully persuade Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions and the United States will continue to consult with its allies on the issue.
"I will consult and continue to consult with our allies on this issue," Mr Bush said.
"It's very important for the Iranians to understand there is a common desire by a lot of nations in this world to convince them, peacefully convince them, that they ought to give up their weapons ambitions."
