US President George W. Bush says he is disgusted by the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by US troops after pictures depicting the acts were published and broadcast around the world.
"I shared a deep disgust that those prisoners were treated the way they were treated. Their treatment does not reflect the nature of the American people. That's not the way we do things in America," Bush said on Friday after photographs depicting the acts of abuse were published and broadcast around the world.
"I didn't like it one bit," Bush added in the White House Rose Garden after talks with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin.
