The US President Mr George W Bush will visit NATO headquarters in Brussels in June as part of his first official trip to Europe.
The White House made the announcement following a meeting between Bush and NATO Secretary-General Mr George Robertson.
"NATO embodies the transatlantic link that binds North America and Europe in a unique defense and security partnership," the White House said.
"The president looks forward to a working meeting with Secretary-General Robertson and allies and to reviewing NATO's agenda for strengthening European and transatlantic security in the new century."
