A Dublin busker who made a knife attack on a garda answering a disturbance call at his flat has been jailed for three years by Judge Yvonne Murphy. Andrew Hunt (43), of Lower Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh, has been in the Central Mental Hospital since he was convicted of the offences in March.
He was found guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to Garda John Dillon on June 17th, 1999, and of causing criminal damage and producing a knife.
