People are being encouraged to cycle to work on Friday

Cycling advocates are striving to promote the benefits of cycling to work and want to encourage more people to use their bicycles.
"We especially want people that are not a massive distance from work to cycle on Friday," said chief executive of Cycling Ireland, Mr Eamonn Duffy.
Mr Duffy said he is hopeful that there will be significant participation, as there are nearly 20,000 people registered to participate in National Bike Week which runs until 8th September.
According to Mr Fallon, statistics show that it is "safer to ride a bicycle than any other form of transport" in Dublin.
"We have to keep hammering away to encourage people to use bicycles more often. It will be a slow process, but we still believe cycling has a future," he added.
