Sol Campbell has given Tottenham an injury scare ahead of the FA Cup semi-final with Arsenal at Old Trafford in 10 days' time.

The Spurs captain was forced to limp out of England's World Cup qualifier with Albania in Tirana yesterday evening with an ankle problem midway through the first-half.

The 25-year-old player has already virtually ruled himself out of Saturday's Premiership encounter with the Gunners and is unable to confirmwhether he will have recovered in time for the cup showdown on April 8.

Campbell, who over the weekend pledged his future to Tottenham, said: "At the moment the ankle is not feeling very good and I'll have to get itlooked at on Thursday and see how bad it is.

"I went for a header, went over and the Albanian player's body weight came across me and right down on the ankle.

"It twisted quite sharply and I have to say I am a very big doubt for the league game with Arsenal this weekend.

"As for me being fit for the semi-final I would obviously like that to be the case but we will have to see how things settle down."

The absence of Campbell would be a massive blow to Tottenham's hopes of reaching the final at the Millennium Stadium as they prepare to unveilGlenn Hoddle as their new manager in succession to George Graham. -PA
