Gardaí have seized around 200 kilos of cannabis worth an estimated €1.5 million during raids in Dublin.
Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped a car near Chapelizod in Dublin yesterday evening and found 40 kilos of cannabis.
The 25-year-old driver of the car was arrested.
In a follow-up search of an apartment in the Dublin 8 area, a further 160 kilos of the drug was discovered.

Gardaí estimate the total haul could have a street value of up to €1.5 million.
The arrested man, an Irish national, is being held at Clondalkin Garda station under Section Two of the Drug Trafficking Act. He can be held for up to seven days.
