A car bomb in the Jordanian capital of Amman has killed two people after exploding in the commercial district.
The victims were walking by the car when it exploded in the Jebel Amman district, a police officer said. One was an Egyptian labourer, the other an Iraqi citizen.
The motive for the bombing was not apparent. The car was parked outside a private house and across the street from a church.
Car-bombings are rare in Jordan, a country with a low crime rate. The last such explosions took place in 1997 and were blamed on a Muslim militant group.
