London - Cardinal Basil Hume yesterday called on the British Prime Minister to convince the Labour Party and the British nation that "abortion is wrong". The leader of the Catholic church in England and Wales said he wanted to change the "minds and hearts" of people to stop abortions.
"My message to Tony Blair would be `You are a man of integrity, you are an honest man, and you see things clearly. I would have thought you should give leadership within your party, and try to convince them that abortion is wrong and that we ought, as a nation, to do something about it,' " Cardinal Hume said.
