Berlin - Johannes Weinrich, considered the right-hand man of international terrorist "Carlos the Jackal", was sentenced yesterday to life in prison. Weinrich (52), was charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of explosives for the bombing, on August 25th, 1983, of the French cultural centre in what was then West Berlin. One man was killed and 23 people injured.
The bomb went off on the fourth floor of the building.
