Maxine Carr will not seek a judicial review of a refusal by the British authorities to allow her early release on an electronic tagging scheme.
The 26-year-old former girlfriend of Soham killer Ian Huntley applied to be let out with an tag and a night-time curfew but was told two weeks ago that she must stay behind bars.
Her legal team had been considering the possibility of seeking a judical review but said today there would be no proceedings.
