The cases of four Donegal men who face charges as a result of the Carty inquiry into alleged Garda corruption in the county, were mentioned at Letterkenny District Court yesterday.
A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Mr William Doherty (28), Manorcunningham, who failed to appear in court.
Gardai gave the court declarations of service of the books of evidence in the cases of Mr Roderick Donnelly (26), Ballylennon, St Johnston, Mr Noel McBride (29), Raphoe, and Mr Derek Connolly (30), Raphoe.
Their cases were adjourned to November 1st. The four men face charges of giving false statements and wasting Garda time on a date, or dates, between November 29th, 1996 and July 7th, 1997.
