Celtic winger Bobby Petta could be out for the next six weeks after injuring his hamstring while training with Holland this week.
The Dutchman was set to play in the friendly against England at White Hart Lane on Wednesday but withdrew after a training ground injury.
But Holland coach Louis van Gaal believes that the injury could have more far-reaching effects for Celtic with the club on the verge of a place in the Champions League group stages.
"It is very unfortunate for Bobby Petta that he suffered an injury," said van Gaal.
"I do not know the full details and we have to wait and see but, if it is what our doctor thinks it is, he will be out for four weeks and possibly six.
"I've already ruled him out of the World Cup qualifying match with Ireland in September otherwise I'm sure he would have been in the squad for that game."
Petta's injury will mean that new signing from Leicester, Steve Guppy, should make his first start for the Hoops at Livingston.
