The Cessna 150 is a two-seater light aircraft used primarily for flight training.
Originally designed in the US in the mid 1950s, it was produced from 1958 to 1977. It is powered by a four-piston engine, which drives a two-blade fixed propeller and is one of the world's most widely used flight training aircraft. Almost all flying schools have at least one Cessna 150 available for instruction or private hire and it is widely considered to be relatively easy to fly.
The aircraft weighs just under 500kg when empty, has a maximum speed of 200km per hour and a climb rate of 640ft per minute. It has a wingspan of just over 10m, is 6½m long and just over 2m high.
