A MAN charged with threatening to petrol bomb a head shop in Dublin city centre is to face trial before a judge and jury.
Lukas Kalinska (25), with an address at Joe Sardini’s Court, Upper Dominick Street, Dublin, is charged with threatening to cause criminal damage to the Hemp Stop, on Capel Street, and possessing a jar containing petrol, a towel immersed in petrol and a cigarette lighter, to cause damage, on May 10th last.
At Dublin District Court yesterday, Judge Denis McLoughlin remanded the accused on continuing bail to appear again on July 16th next.
Mr Kalinska is to be served with a book of evidence and returned for trial to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
As conditions of bail, Mr Kalinska, who is from Poland and works in the construction industry, has been ordered to sign on at the Bridewell Garda station weekly and to continue to reside at his current address.
He has also been ordered to stay away from the Hemp Stop and not to apply for any travel documentation.
