Chelsea have confirmed that they have finally agreed a
deal with Monaco to sell defender Frank Leboeuf.
With the Frenchman keen to return to his native country, all that remains for the transfer to be concluded is for a few loose ends to tied up at the Monaco end.
The French transfer deadline is looming on Wednesday, but it now seems likely that Leboeuf will have been sold to Monaco by that time for a fee of around stg¾3 million.

The progress was possible after Monaco raised their initial bid of stg¾2 million and Chelsea found a replacement in signing South African international defender Pierre Issa on a three-month loan with a view to a permanent deal.
