The Cheltenham Festival has been postponed because of Britain's foot-and-mouth crisis, the BBC quoted the British Horse Racing Board as saying on Wednesday.
Organisers hope the Festival can now take place in April instead.
The decision has been taken because current regulations state that no livestock is allowed to have been on the racecourse within the last 28 days, the BBC reported.
Sheep have been grazing on the course leaving officials with no choice but to postpone the event.
