Auckland - At least 18 people, most of them children were killed yesterday in a school fire on the tiny Pacific atoll nation of Tuvalu, according to the government-owned Radio Tuvalu. Only one adult was known to have died in the fire. The Tuvalu honorary consul in Australia, Mr Pravin Sundarjee, said the wooden school was on the island of Vaitapu and it was understood there were no fire services there.
