Moscow - President Yeltsin has spared the leading Russian reformer Mr Anatoly Chubais, while sacking two of his allies for receiving large fees to co-author a book on privatisation.
Mr Yeltsin sacked Mr Maxim Boiko, a deputy prime minister, and Mr Pyotr Mostovoi, head of the Federal Bankruptcy Agency. Mr Boiko and Mr Mostovoi lost their jobs for sharing a $450,000 book advance from a Russian publisher with Mr Chubais and three other associates.
